NEWS UPDATE
The 2007 Recipients have been announced! ----- We are very pleased to announce the creation of the Patrick Kerr Skateboard Scholarship, the first college scholarship fund in the United States for skateboarders. As mothers of skateboarders, we respect the talent, intelligence, energy, creativity, passion, dedication and drive that we see in these young people. Our mission is to help skateboarders pursue their dreams and attain their career goals by providing college scholarships. Our fund is named in memory of Patrick Kerr, an honor student and skateboard activist. Patrick created petitions and collected signatures for public skateparks, wrote letters to newspaper editors in support of skateboarding, and was the youngest fundraiser for the Philadelphia skateboard non-profit. We are grateful for the encouragement and support of our Board of Trustees, the skateboarding community, skateboard advocates, our friends and family, and the sponsors of the Patrick Kerr Skateboard Scholarship.
